* IMPORTANT NEWS * CO FARM & FOOD ALLIANCE

Transformation is active change that moves something existing into a new state or way of being.

After 10 years, Colorado Farm & Food Alliance is sunsetting at the end of 2025.

We are excited to highlight some new and innovative organizations and leaders that are building on the foundations we have developed through our work together.

First, our Regenerative Demonstration Garden and Classroom is emerging as its own project, under the fiscal stewardship of Viva la Vida.

Mariposa Ascendente Project

This will not only be the beautiful and welcoming space that it is now, but a hub for programming there and in partnerships with other organizations in the community - to support our rural and agricultural community in securing prosperity, resilience and well-being.

You can sign up for the Mariposa email newsletter here

Mirasol Agrivoltaic

We are also excited that Mirasol Agrivoltaic - a newly formed Colorado nonprofit organization - is making progress in advancing the Thistle Whistle Community Solar project.

Check out their work at Mirasol-Ag.org. And If you are in the DMEA service area and may want to be a Mirasol Agrivoltaic member - and anyone interested in updates - you can sign up to learn more here.

What is next for CO Farm & Food Alliance’s other work?

We will be putting out more information about what else we have been wrapping up over the next month, and how those are shaping new community programming coming in 2026.

To everyone we have worked with, and to all the community members who have shown up and pitched in:

Our collective impact has been substantial and will be ongoing. Please keep supporting these great organizations and the transformative power of intentional community.

CO Farm & Food Alliance will include some retrospective pieces on our website over the next few weeks which will remain as an archive for at least a few years. We continue to check email often through the end of December and regularly during 2026.
