Re-Seed our Equity and Learning Garden

Timberframe Pavilion and Demonstration Gardens to Provide Classroom, Growing and Community Space at Arbol Farm.

Colorado Farm and Food Alliance is excited to announce that we have relocated and rebuilt our timberframe classroom at its new home, Arbol Farm, just outside of Paonia on Lamborn Mesa.

Until December 15, your contribution to support this community space will be partially matched through a generous campaign from SeedMoney.org.

Arbol Farm is a living legacy with a history of community events, from the origins of the Valley’s farmers market (which has now moved to Paonia Town Park), to biodynamic training with Viva la Vida Foundation, and hands-on workshops with natural builders in the valley.

The Colorado Farm and Food Alliance is honored to be part of and to contribute to this legacy through regenerative agriculture, permaculture design and other workshops, as well as movie nights, demonstration gardens for the community to help cultivate, learn from, and explore.

Centerpiece of our Just Good Food program, the classroom and garden space is a place where people can gather, learn, share ideas and get inspired. The transition now happening in agriculture, as we shift to more regenerative practices, is a community-scale process, and we are so much more successful when we work together in positive, uplifting environments.

Until December 15 your gift is partially matched through a generous campaign from SeedMoney.org.

While we are excited to welcome the community back to our new home, our workshops will also continue to pop up on farms and locations around the valley. Offerings like “Cover Crops in the Market Garden” and “Keyline Design” feature local leaders and practitioners sharing their knowledge and processes, as participants get the opportunity to explore what it looks like to implement these practices on the land.

At our classroom & garden, in addition to providing activities there, we look forward to hosting volunteer days and other community programming to help us cultivate this space and learn how to implement different practices. We will also grow food to share among ourselves and with regional partners that help make sure everyone is fed, providing fresh nutritious food to community pantries and meal programs.

Donate here to our SeedMoney.org campaign!

But now, we need your help to seed this space for what is already looking to be a full 2024 of activities and community learning. Your matched contribution today will help us establish demonstration gardens, finish landscaping, install the pathway (with pavers from Delta Brick & Climate), and kick off our debut season of workshops and other educational programming.

Through December 15 SeedMoney.org matches with funding based on how much we raise from the community, so every bit helps exponentially!

We can’t wait to host you at the garden and grow together!
