Rural Advocacy & Community Leadership

This programming demonstrates and features community leadership, learning and service.

The Colorado Farm & Food Alliance engages rural leadership to advocate for land and water conservation, climate action, and for healthy farms, secure food systems, and equitable communities.

Healthy lands and clean water protect Colorado’s farms and our food and drink economies, and are critical to food security. Farmers, farmworkers and rural residents all deserve both a healthy environment and a prosperous economy. When the community works together we can shape our future and take better care of each other today.

Conservation is a vital tool in the effort to mitigate against and adapt to climate change. Community engagement is a force to boost local conservation efforts, in fields and through good policy and planning.

The CO Farm & Food Alliance demonstrates and invites practitioners as educators to teach about on-farm conservation strategies. We work with partners and the community to help direct garden and farm surplus into regional food sharing programs.. And we provide training, leadership development, networking, and opportunities to directly interact with policy-makers at the local, state, and federal levels.

Regenerative Gardens & Classroom

Our Gardens & Classroom at Arbol Farm is meant to manifest leadership and community, and represents the emergence of community space. A learning and demonstration garden and outdoor classroom, and community space, the gardens will also support local food sharing and other projects in the region.
